Who Am I? 

I’m known as Bob, I'm a divorced 43 year old ex Serviceman (Army), having served 16 years (Royal Scots (9 years) RAOC/AGC (7 years)). I was invalided out of the Service in 1997 as a result of a back injury. Although restricted in what I can get up too, I keep my sanity by dividing my time with my hobbies/interests.

Card Making
I decided to add another string to my bow this year (to coin a phrase).  Needed something to slow me down.  So I am embarking on a new adventure and will see how it progresses during 2003.

Gardening
My passion in life outside computing. It's my rehab and keeps me sane. Click above to go to gardening chronicles.

Photography
I have been interested in photography most of my life and had built up a variety of different format cameras, ranging from 35mm, 6x4.5 and 6x6 medium formats. I enjoyed using slide film most of all.  Although it has been some time since I got to grips with taking photographs, I have realized my equipment is wasted  gathering dust so am taking steps to advertise it for Sale.  Perhaps later on I will  rekindle this one day.  A few examples are displayed in the Photo Gallery.

As I stated above, I hope to do more photography, I guess the garden will be my model.  I invested in a digital (3.3million pixel) Sony camera which also does short 15 sec video clips.  So you will see a sudden improvement in picture quality.  Will save time on scanning time from slide & negs.

DIY
I have always enjoyed doing DIY, I like to get involved in all aspects of it, whether I can do this on my own or with help will depend on the job I suppose.
